	Students will be instructed towards becoming self-directed learners who are independent thinkers; who question ideas, set clear and realistic goals, self-evaluate regularly, learn towards mastery, and are inquisitive. All Kindergarten through Grade 11 students take the Comprehensive Test of Basic Skills (CTBS) annually. There is some consideration being given to not testing 11th graders because they are busy taking Golden State, PSAT , SAT, and other college admission tests. Data is collected by grade level, subject areas, and objective achievement within the grades. Since the school year 1999-2000 the school has graduated seniors to many prestigious Universities. City of Knowledge Graduates City of Knowledge graduates since year 2000 have joined and graduated from prestigious universities like UCLA, UC Berkeley, UCI, USC, Cal Poly and different Cal State Universities. Many graduates have joined foreign universities and a growing number have finished or are perusing their post graduate studies. So far 45% of the school's graduates joined different UC’s while 21% join different CSU’s and 25% joined other colleges and universities. 4% have joined out of state universities and 5% have joined international universities. City of Knowledge graduates have an outstanding UC admission rate as indicated in the graph below: UC Berkeley 18% UCLA 27% UCI 27% UCR 24% UCSD 2% UCSB 2% More graduates will join these prestigious UCs this year Insha-Allah. The school's alumni are excelling in their undergraduate and graduate educations in various prestigious universities and colleges. Their focus areas of study includes a wide range of majors like business, law, medicine, dentistry, engineering, religion, teaching, technology, psychology, and others as indicated in the graph below. These numbers increase every year as more graduates join the pool of alumni. Many City of Knowledge graduates have finished their post graduate studies and are working in a wide range of professions. City of Knowledge Alumni are involved in community service and volunteerism and are active in different masajed and centers. They are active in teaching, tutoring, camps, workshops, mentoring, and various humanitarian projects. They carry themselves as proud confident Muslims. They are connected to City of Knowledge and are active in various school projects, programs, and activities.
